Yesterday I met a psychologist who has been working with the Gefühlsmonster® cards for the last two years.
Her statement: autistic children are very fast and precise in capturing other people’s feelings by chosing the appropriate Monster card!
She lets children and young people identify the Gefühlsmonsters for their family members, sharing this view with the parents. She then asks the children to choose cards for different situations or places like training programs, shops, school or the playground to adjust activities avoiding overload situations.
