Privacy Policy for the Gefühlsmonster Toolbox App (iOS & Android)

The Gefühlsmonster Toolbox App (hereinafter referred to as ‘App’) does not transfer any data to us or third parties.

All the information you enter in the app, for example when you select cards about your feelings in one of the tools ‘Gefühlsmonster Scan’ or ‘I feel, you feel’, is private and will never be transferred to us or third parties. Your selections are only stored on your device for as long as the respective tool is open and are immediately deleted as soon as you close the tool or leave it by clicking on the ‘back’ button and returning to the app’s home screen.

To protect your privacy from other users of the same device, we therefore recommend that you always close or exit the current tool in the app before the device is used by someone else.

What data is collected in the app and why?

  1. In the app, users can provide information about their current emotional state or the emotional state of another person by selecting emotion illustrations (the Gefühlsmonster® Cards) in the so-called ‘tools’ in the app, which present different exercises for emotional resilience, competence and self-help in dealing with feelings. This information is provided voluntarily and is only stored on the user’s device for the duration of the use of the tool and is not transmitted to us or third parties. If the tool is closed after completing the exercise or cancelled prematurely, or the app itself is closed, the information is deleted.
  2. If desired, the app’s tools can remind users to run the respective tool at regular intervals via notifications. To do this, the desired reminder rhythm (e.g. ‘every Monday at 6 p.m.’) is stored permanently on the device to enable the reminder. This information is never transmitted to us or third parties, but it is visible to all users of the app on this device.

Links to external sites in the app

The app contains links to external sites, such as our website or our online store. Even if you access these, no information about you is transmitted by the app. The respective data protection provisions of the sites apply to data that you enter on external sites.

Data you provide us with via the contact form

If you contact us via the contact link in the app, no information will be transmitted automatically either. Information that you voluntarily provide us with about yourself and the app, such as which device you are using or which functions of the app you are using, will be treated confidentially and only read by Gefühlsmonster GmbH employees.

To fix software problems, your information about errors in the app may be passed on to external software developers in anonymised form if this is necessary to fix the problem.

Business emails must be archived for at least 6 years and for certain emails (e.g. with invoices) up to 10 years in accordance with the legally prescribed archiving obligation.

Emails that are not subject to the archiving requirement will be stored for up to two years for the purpose of improving the app.

Data protection officer, data disclosure and objection

You can object to the non-statutory storage of emails by sending us your request to delete your emails at info@gefuehlsmonster.de.
